Peter Viggo Jakobsen is a PhD in international politics and an associate professor at the Institute for Strategy and War Studies. He works with research, teaching, and advisory services in defence and security policy at both national and international levels. His main research areas include the use of force and coercive diplomacy, military strategy, civil-military cooperation, and peace and stabilisation operations. He also has particular expertise in NATO, the EU, and the UN’s role in international security, as well as topics such as nuclear weapons, sanctions, and conflict management.
